A number of renewable energy planning applications are currently in progress within and around our area.
Together with Kiltearn Community Council, we’ve created a map to show the bigger picture—the cumulative impact of these projects. The information is drawn directly from the Highland Council planning portal and the Energy Consents Unit (ECU) which reviews applications for proposals over 50MW.
Click on “Open Large View” below to explore the maps and photomontages. You’ll be able to see ‘cumulative’ perspectives from 18 different viewpoints across Ardross, Kiltearn, Alness, and the Black Isle.
Some proposals—Ceislein, Novar 1 Repowering, and Creachan—have recently been amended. As soon as the official updates appear on the ECU and Highland Council portals, we’ll update our maps to reflect those changes.
We’d love for you to take a look, explore the viewpoints, and share your thoughts. Your perspective is an important part of how our community responds to these developments. Please send any feedback or thoughts you would like to share to planning@ardross.org
All photomontages have been prepared in line with NatureScot guidelines.
