We are really excited to announce that we have a special showing at the Ardross Hall – It’ll Never Work – a fun and engrossing documentary of the start to finish build of the UK’s FIRST FULLY ELECTRIC FISHING BOAT, the conversion of a diesel fishing boat to solar power.
One fisherman’s conviction towards a carbon free future. A small film but a powerful one. This is the inspirational story of the successful making of a fishing boat designed to burn no diesel, it has the lot – laughs, misery, tension, motivation and more laughs as well as being a real people story rather than just another reality show. The young Argyll director, Joe Osborn, has, with UHI Inverness training, skillfully engrained the seasonal moods, the strong local community spirit and the Argyll way of doing things into a compelling story of our times. Hans Unkles, skipper and builder of the Lorna Jane,
and co-producer of the film, will attend the film and hold a Q&A session afterward. Don’t miss it!
Doors open 6.30pm £5, refreshments by donation.
