DESCRIPTION:The fourth Sunday of Advent brings us to the final\, most tender theme of the season — love.Not the grand or dramatic kind\, but the gentle\, steady love that shows itself in warmth\, presence\, kindness\, and the simple ways we look after ourselves and one another.\n\nYou are warmly invited to join us at Ardross ARK on 21st December for our 4th Advent Sunday\, the last Advent gathering before Christmas.\n\nOur lovely volunteer Sheena will be there to welcome you\, look after the space\, and hold the gentle atmosphere of the afternoon.\n\nThe fire will be lit\, soft peaceful music will be playing in the background\, and the doors will be open.The old church will offer a calm and welcoming space for anyone who would like to come inside\, breathe out\, and settle into the softer rhythm of the season.\n\nHot chocolate and mince pies will be available for anyone who would like a little treat while they’re here.\n\n The Fourth Advent Candle — A Candle of Love\nThe fourth candle symbolises love — quiet love\, grounded love\, the kind that brings warmth where life has grown cold\, and gentleness where things have felt heavy.\n\nLighting this candle is a reminder that love often lives in the smallest moments:a kind word\,a warm gesture\,a gentle thought\,a peaceful pause\,a moment shared\,a space held for someone else.\n\nYou are welcome to light a candle during your visit — whether as a reflection\, a small wish\, or simply a quiet act of love for yourself or someone you care about.\n\n A Thought to Carry Into Christmas\nThe fourth Advent candle invites us to reflect on one simple question:\nWhere can I bring a little more warmth into my own days — and perhaps into someone else’s?\nSometimes love is simply the choice to be present\,to soften\,to listen\,or to allow ourselves a quiet moment of stillness.\n\n About the Gathering\nThere is no service and no formal programme.You can come for five minutes or stay for the full time.\nYou are welcome to:– Light a candle– Sit quietly– Reflect on the season– Take a moment with your own thoughts– Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and gentle music\n\nEveryone who values kindness\, warmth\, and a moment to reconnect with themselves is warmly welcome.\nWe would love to share this final Advent gathering with you.\n\nA small donation box will be available for anyone who wishes to support the upkeep of the ARK\, but there is absolutely no obligation.
