The Ardross Community Council (ACC) are working with the Climate & Energy team at the Highland Council, creating a project that will look at the assisting all eligible households in the Ardross Community Council area to improve their energy efficiency rating, therefore hopefully reducing fuel/energy costs.

The ACC Energy Efficiency Scheme will only be open to primary residencies and these must not be used for business purposes (rentals/air bnb etc). Please note, if the property is a long term residential rental there may be an opportunity to work with the council/owner to provide upgrades to the property and therefore these aren’t automatically exempt.

This project, if launched, may run for a few years. It is the intention to apply for any relevant government funding in Q1 of 2025, however the data will be collated during Q4 of 2024.

The ACC is keen to help as many people as possible, so it is important that if you are interested to register your interest. Once we know how many people are theoretically interested we can look at the quality of the existing data we have on the properties. We may need properties to have an energy Efficiency Performance Certificate issued, this is part of the project work so residents are not expected to organise this themselves.

If you are interested in finding out more about this scheme, please register your interest by emailing ees@ardross.org

On the email it would be helpful for you to provide the property name, whether you have had an Energy Performance Certificate in the last 5 years and if so, if anything has fundamentally changed since the certificate was issued (new windows/solar panels etc.).
