Dear Residents,
I hope this message finds you well. At the recent AGM I was nominated for Chair and as I step into this role, I would first like to extend my sincere thanks to Peter Allen for his time and dedication as Chair of the Ardross Community Council. His leadership and commitment to the community have been greatly appreciated, and we wish him all the best for the future.
I would also like to thank my fellow councillors, who carry out a phenomenal amount of work behind the scenes on a voluntary basis!
It is a genuine privilege to take on this position, and I’m looking forward to working together with fellow councillors and, most importantly, with you—our residents—to bring fresh energy, purpose, and progress to our area.
My aim is simple: to ensure the Council works for the benefit of the whole community. That means improving communication, developing fair and transparent processes for applications and funding, and making it easier for residents to understand what we’re doing and how to get involved.
Whether it’s supporting local projects, maintaining and improving our shared spaces, or just making sure people feel heard—we’re here to serve you.
In the coming months, we’ll be sharing updates and inviting more input from the community. Your ideas, concerns, and hopes are always welcome. Together, we can ensure Ardross remains a wonderful place to live—both now and for generations to come.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Emma Chisholm
