Update 09 July 2025 – Rescheduled to 26 July
Dear Residents in the Ardross Community Council area, please come along and see for yourselves the cumulative impact (photos and maps) of the planned renewables, including wind turbines that are being proposed in the glen, in and around Ardross.
The Ardross Community Council really need the community of Ardross to attend this public consultation, so that we can gain your views. This is really important so the Community Council can represent the community and the views held by residents when the planning applications are being considered.
At the most recent Local Place Plan event Renewables was the highest scoring concern raised by members of the Community.
“Reduce impact of Windfarms & proposed Renewable Infrastructure Projects – 342” Tea/Coffee & refreshments
ALL WELCOME !!
Update 18 June 2025
Unfortunately, it’s with huge frustration that we need to postpone Saturday’s Cumulative Planning meeting.
As you know the last couple of weeks have been typical highland weather, which has not been conducive to obtaining the required pictures covering the whole Glen.
We hope to reschedule for mid to late July.

We currently have 12 renewable energy projects in planning, with night lit wind turbines proposed on all three sides of the glen. The combined accumulative impact of these developments – including turbines & supporting infrastructure – will significantly affect the landscape, your view and potential property prices.
To help shape our response to the planning applications, we need your thoughts and feedback. We’ve organised an Open Day where you can; view before & after photos, explore 3D visualisations, review each project and share your opinion.
This is your chance to see what’s planned and have your say.
