The Highland Council are currently preparing the new Highland Local Development Plan (HLDP). As part of this process, they are undertaking a Call for Ideas.
Communities, residents and businesses are invited to share local planning ideas on how land and buildings within Highland could be used, improved, protected or developed. These ideas will help to inform policies, development requirements and placemaking priorities in the new HLDP.
The Call for Ideas survey is now open and will run until 18 September 2026:
Call for Ideas Survey | The Highland Council
As our community council area does not yet have a registered Local Place Plan (LPP), we are encouraged to submit any local ideas or proposals for the use and development of land and buildings within our community through the Call for Ideas. These ideas will be taken into consideration in the preparation of the HLDP.
If you are unable to complete Call for Ideas survey online, then a paper form can be made available.
If you have any queries or require assistance, please contact: HLDP@highland.gov.uk.
